A handing-over ceremony of sponsorship and presentation of letters of appreciation for the ROSSA and Project Pop Live concert took place at the Brunei-Muara District Office yesterday afternoon.
The upcoming concert on May 6 at the National Indoor Stadium is organised in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 60th Birthday Celebration.
On hand to receive the sponsorship and hand over letters of appreciation to sponsors was Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussof bin Bakar, the Brunei-Muara District Officer in his capacity as the co-chairman of the Committee for His Majesty's 60th Birthday Celebration.
In an opening remark, Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussof conveyed his appreciation to all the sponsors for supporting the concert. He also commended De Hayat Musical and Production for organising the concert.
He hopes that more private organisations would come forward to contribute to His Majesty's 60th Birthday Celebration.
The sponsorship handed over yesterday included cash donations amounting to $41,500, facilities and items worth $65,430 and hotel accommodations costing $19,000.
The co-sponsors of the concert are Kingston Beverages & Creamery Sdn Bhd, Royal Brunei Airlines Sdn Bhd, Brunei Press Sdn Bhd and DSTGroup Sdn Bhd while the sponsors are Joon Joon Printing company, Orchid Garden Hotel, Setia Motors Sdn Bhd and Shazana's Production House.
